Sport Headers for your '01 Acura TL:
We feel that there are two different theories for header design; either go for maximum peak horsepower at the expense of the mid-range power, or go for the best gains throughout the whole RPM range. Maximum peak power works best for a race car that is gathered to always stay in the power band. But for everyday street use, big gains in the mid-range are far more useable. After all, you need to get thru the mid-range in order to get to the top end, don`t you? That`s why Comptech does extensive development to maximize the power gains throughout the whole RPM range with only a small sacrifice to the top end compared to race type headers. The result is a car that is quicker and much more fun to drive and you can enjoy the power gains that much more often. TIG welded or MIG welded? TIG (also known as heli-arc) stands for Tungsten Inert Gas. TIG welding results in the absolutely best quality weld possible and is the type of welding used in aerospace, Indy car, sports prototypes, etc. In a way, it`s similar to gas welding, because you have a torch in one hand and feed in the filler wire with the other. It is the cleanest, prettiest and strongest weld available. The people who do it are the true artists of the welding trade. MIG stands for Metal Inert Gas. A MIG weld is done with a torch that feeds the wire thru the gun as you weld. It results in a larger weld bead and the welder must be very careful in order to get a quality weld. MIG welding takes about 30% of the time as TIG welding does, and results in cost savings. 3.2L - TIG welded, polished finish, 18 hp gain at the wheels on TL, 32 hp gain at the wheels on CL-S List Price: $1,249.00 | Your Price $1,124.10 Add To Cart
